While commencement is one of my favorite activities of the year, all of the end-of-the-year celebrations really underline all of the hard work that has taken place throughout this school year. I especially enjoy celebrations that focus on student achievement.

Last Friday PTK Advisor, Eric Silk, Photographer Dan Baney and I traveled to Casper for the Wyoming Phi Theta Kappa All State Academic Team Awards.

(L-R: Retiring Central Wyoming President, Jo Anne McFarland,
New Century Scholar Caitlin Heryford, and NWC President Stefani Hicswa)
Upon our return, I attended the annual NWC Employee Recognition Banquet. Congratulations to all of the award recipients! While none of the women in the photo below received any awards, it is obvious that they had a great time (For some reason this photo makes me think of that song from the Pretty Woman soundtrack about wild women.)

On Saturday my family and I celebrated the opening of Yellowstone National Park. Have I mentioned recently how much I love living so close to the Park? Although I have been to Yellowstone many times, I have never experienced opening weekend before.

Have a great weekend!
