Spring Break

A lot of people have been asking me what I did over spring break. In case you are curious, here are a few things...
I met with restaurant owners in Cody, talked with Wyoming community college presidents about replacing the community college lobbyist, participated in a campus emergency drill with members of the Powell Police and Fire Departments, attended a Powell Economic Partnership Executive Board meeting, prepared for College Council's policy training session, reviewed the Facilities Master Plan as part of new board training with Dusty Spomer, worked on accreditation reports, and attended the Cody School Board meeting.
Over the weekend my family and I went skiing - trying to get in a few more days before the snow is gone. Below are some photos we took of Flat Stanley at Red Lodge Ski Area for my niece's school project.

Have a Happy Easter. Whatever your plans, make the most of the long weekend!

Spring is here!

Growing up on a farm I always loved spring. There was something about getting fields ready and watching the calves and lambs play that always gave promise of positive growth for the future.

With this warm weather, spring break next week, and my neighbor getting ready for planting, I am beginning to get spring fever.

What a small world!

Last week I received an email from NWC faculty member Aura Newlin telling me she had met one of my former students, Jess Peterson at a hotel lobby in Washington DC. Jess is from Red Lodge and is now a lobbyist for agriculture-based issues. They called me that evening from an NBA game.
